David once told me never to judge a book by its cover.  Two boys at his school, Marple Ridge High School, were very disruptive and difficult to teach but David never gave up on them.  One boy became a designer and the other an artist with exhibitions in London and New York.  Just 2 examples of the many he has supported throughout his life.

David spent a lot of time and talking to and helping people. Our friendship lasted for over 60 years and he will be sadly missed by us and many others.
